The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Product Marketing, reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, plays a critical role in driving the marketing strategy for Columbia Business School Executive Education (CBSEE). This role is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) marketing campaigns, particularly for a portfolio of open enrollment programs and broader marketing initiatives. Additionally, this individual will lead social media efforts to enhance brand visibility, engaging with key stakeholders through compelling content and data-driven strategies.

This is a one year, temporary position.

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy:

  • Manage and grow CBSEE's social media presence, developing and executing a robust content calendar in collaboration with faculty, program management, and sales teams.
  • Increase brand visibility and engagement through daily content creation, platform management, and performance analysis, leveraging data to refine strategies and enhance outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Analyst to track and report on the impact of organic social media activities, providing actionable insights to drive improvement.

Marketing Campaign Management:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize B2C marketing campaigns to support a portfolio of Open Enrollment (OE) Programs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and sales priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create strategic campaigns that engage senior business decision-makers, including HR leaders, Learning & Development professionals, and senior executives.
  • Launch new marketing initiatives and channels to drive business growth, regularly analyzing channel performance and reporting on key metrics.

Content Development and Management:

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of marketing assets across multiple mediums, including print and digital platforms (e.g., websites, collateral), ensuring brand consistency and increased awareness.
  • Lead content production efforts, including interviews, articles, videos, and photography, working closely with the Senior Associate Director of Digital Marketing to optimize for SEO/SEM.
  • Copyedit marketing materials for team members on all collateral pieces
  • Manage internal and external resources, including faculty, agencies, photographers, videographers, and copywriters, to produce high-quality content that supports marketing goals.

Partnership and Brand Management:

  • Give daily editorial and brand feedback on partnership collateral pieces including landing pages, brochures, ads, and more
  • Work on incoming partnership project requests, in collaboration with the Director of Product Marketing

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with the Learning Solutions team to build and implement effective marketing campaigns that support program objectives and drive enrollment.
  • Support the Director of Product Marketing with various ad hoc marketing projects, contributing to the overall success of the Executive Education team.
  • Continuously explore and evaluate new growth opportunities for CBSEE, including emerging marketing trends and channels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of CBSEE.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required. Minimum 3-5 years of related experience required.

  • The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented with an ability to work independently. Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish professional working relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues, external partners, clients, delegates, and vendors. The ideal candidate anticipates opportunities and challenges, identifies and implements creative solutions, and works well under deadlines and pressure. Must have the ability to project manage multiple competing priorities at once. Fluency in MS Office suite a must, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies (i.e., CRM/ databases and internet publishing tools). Must be skilled in copywriting and copyediting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in professional services or luxury sectors and knowledge of the higher education market is a plus.
