S&P OpCo, LLC Associate Director, Global Research & Design in New York, New York
S&P OpCo, LLC seeks an Associate Director, Global Research & Design who will serve as a quantitative analyst and perform portfolio construction, back testing, and quantitative analysis of various index strategies including smart beta, multi-asset, ESG/sustainability and thematic strategies. Present proposed strategies and analysis to internal groups and external clients. Develop, support, and utilize Python libraries and other automation tools and processes for index construction and analytics. Create research publications, documentations, and other presentation collateral. Coordinate with other research and development personnel as well as other functional groups, including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Channel, and Index Management. Contribute to multiple concurrent projects within agreed deadlines. Clearly communicate verbal, written, and presentation materials to a variety of audiences.*Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 3 years of experience must include: Exposure to global financial markets in publicly traded assets, including equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, and derivatives; researching and evaluating investment portfolios and indices for performance and suitability; using statistical programming languages and packages, including Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib), to develop libraries, tools, and processes for investment-related analytics; utilizing financial data applications, such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Morningstar, FactSet, Reuters, and Axioma; financial modeling and simulation, including time series analysis, and statistical analysis of strategies (risk/return, drawdowns, performance attribution); writing and presenting financial research and analysis to internal stakeholders (product managers, compliance & governance, production, and technology teams) and external stakeholders (client R&D, product owners, sales/marketing teams, and senior executives).The anticipated base salary range for this position is $188,370 to $206,350. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications.
