YMCA of Greater New York Assistant Program Director (Chinatown YMCA) in New York, New York

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director will supervise program staff in the Beacon program, implement program components, assist in marketing and outreach, and maintain partnerships with community and sponsoring agencies. They must be able to work both in person and remotely across a variety of platforms.Key Responsibilities:-Overall responsibility for the quality and efficiency of the Beacon Program.-Analyzes statistics, ensures contract compliance, and participates in the program’s audits. Serves as a cabinet member to the parent agency.-Supervise the center’s program, maintenance, specialists, security, staff, and volunteers.-Holds monthly program meetings to introduce new procedures and to discuss new issues in the field. Responsible for the program’s policies and procedures.-Ensure a high quality of service delivery.-Collaborates with Leadership staff in the development and implementation of staff training components.-Represents the agency in the community, city, and state agencies.-Supervision of professional staff on clinical & programmatic issues.-Coordinate the center’s programs with the community needs and resources and maintain liaison with other community-based organizations.-Consult regularly with various funding sources and with the Program Director regarding program operation.-Identify trends for program development.-Manage intake along with the Program Director.-Conduct program planning and evaluation.-Report to the Director if a child is at risk and has safety concerns immediately.-Keep up with documents updated weekly.-Comply with YMCA, DYCD, and DOH requirements and coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement efforts across programs, if applicable.-Maintain accurate and current program files.Desired Skills & Experience:-Bachelor's degree in the Education field preferred.-Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.-Knowledge of health-related factors as well as an understanding of current issues and theories of child development.-Excellent clinical skills are required.-Bilingual: Chinese/English; Spanish/English.Benefits:The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including retirement benefits, medical, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
