Bringing together traditional and alternative investments, Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management provides clients around the world with a dedicated partnership and focus on long-term performance. As primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals.

The Portfolio Construction & Risk team is an integral part of fixed income and liquidity solutions. The team is responsible for:

• Monitoring all fixed income mandates' positioning, risk and performance,
• Overseeing investment process across all desks, and collaborating with senior PMs to drive and contribute to process improvements,
• Owning and improving proprietary fixed income risk model,
• Establishing the platform's risk frameworks and thresholds

Key responsibilities

• Recurring risk and performance monitoring and analysis
• Leading discussion forums CIOs and senior investors - offering insights, making recommendations, and asking questions
• Working closely with senior PMs to improve investment and risk monitoring processes
• Collaborating with quantitative strategists on risk model updates and investment tools

Skills / Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Curious and keen to work on open-ended projects and improve processes
• Excellent follow-through
• Interest in cross-functional teams and tasks
• Basic knowledge of fixed income and investment risk is a plus
• Programming skills are a plus
