Job Responsibilities:

As a Product & Platform Vice President within J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management ("JPMAAM") Hedge Fund & Alternative Credit Solutions, you will provide Investor Support and be at the forefront of driving technological innovation and data management within our organization. Your focus will be on enhancing efficiencies across various teams, fostering the adoption of design principles, and leading technology initiatives.

  • Develop innovative tools aimed at enhancing efficiencies across various teams, with a particular emphasis on Investment Research, Risk, and Client teams.

  • Engage in collaborative efforts with AM Technology teams to facilitate the transition of JPMAAM tools to enterprise architecture as required.

  • Promote the adoption of design principles among JPMAAM Python developers that foster reuse and mitigate the cost of transition.

  • Actively participate in technology initiatives, including the reengineering of legacy processes, the implementation of new technology, and the proactive identification of opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements.

  • In close partnership with select Senior members of JPMAAM, identify projects/processes that that will improve the team's quantitative capabilities.

  • Contribute to investment strategy and risk discussions, staying abreast of investment and strategy modeling needs that may necessitate system support.

  • Oversee the tasks of the Data Management team, assuming responsibility for the development of tools that ensure data completeness.

  • Monitor and assist with ad-hoc reporting/data requests made by clients, analysts, portfolio managers, and the risk team.

  • Assume ownership of select ongoing reporting and analytical needs, with a primary objective of eliminating duplication, enhancing efficiency, and achieving full automation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Financial Engineering.

  • 4+ years of financial services experience ideally working with Hedge Funds or Private Credit.

  • Advanced level knowledge of software engineering concepts and hands-on working experience with scripting languages & data analysis tools including Python and Tableau are key.

  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills, both written and oral, including the ability to interact with all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to work independently as well within a team dynamic.

  • Ability to think critically, analyze and solve business problems.

  • Ability to assess current processes & the overall control environment, identify areas of improvement, and use knowledge of technology to implement practical solutions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • General familiarity with Hedge Fund strategies, Risk Management and Portfolio Construction concepts are a plus.
