Responsibilities:

• Trading and structuring Agency CMO/PT/Specified Pools/Derivatives

• Deal booking, CMO pricing, risk reporting, and other daily trading desk routine

• Risk management via dynamic hedging and calibrating inventory to sales volume

• Analyze relative value opportunity in Agency MBS, through structuring and prepayment lens

• Work closely with salesforce to bring ideas/solutions to and make markets for BMO clients in Agency CMO

• Exact responsibility may vary based on individual’s background, experience, specialty

Qualifications:

• 2-7 years experience in the following capacity in CMO/MBS/SPT: 1) sales & trading, 2) buy side/investment management, 3) research & analytics

• Strong communications (verbal and written) and analytical skills

• Proven record delivering in a fast paced, high intensity, high pressure environment

• Strong team player with aspiration to lead/drive business

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg

• Experience with database, scripting and object-oriented languages (SQL, VBA, Python, C++, etc) preferred

• Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
