Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to provide comprehensive care as a Urology Surgery APP. In this role, you will meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our prostate cancer patients . These prostate cancer patients are seen as part of our active surveillance program and have early-stage prostate cancer. You will care for patients independently in a clinic setting as well as care for patients as a part of our shared MD/APP model. As part of your role, you will also independently perform prostate biopsies and all patients will be seen at our Kimmel Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancers.

Key Qualifications:

• Current New York State (NYS) and New Jersey State RN and NP licenses/registrations

• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

• 2- 3+ years of related APP clinical experienc e , s urgical experience is preferred but not required

  OR

• Graduate from an accredited PA program

• NCCPA certification

• Active NYS license and New Jersey State license or be qualified for state licensure

• 2-3+ years of related APP clinical experience, surgical experience is preferred but not required

• Expertise in planning and prioritizing tasks to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and timely completion

• Able to adjust approach and demeanor to align with the changing demands of dynamic environments.

  Additional Information:

  Hours: 10-hour shifts, 8 a m – 6 p m, 4 days/week (flex) Monday-Friday , No Weekends or holidays

  Location: 353 E 68th St, New York, NY

  Requires the ability to provide independent comprehensive care to our prostate cancer oncology patients , which includes performing prostate biopsies

  This role is prioritizing experienced APP’s

  Pay Range $144,000-182,000
