Hybrid Accounts Receivable Manager Opening! 6 month contract!

Environment Details:

• HOURS: 8AM - 5PM

• 3 days in office in NYC.

Summary:

This newly created position will support the Head of Accounting and Finance by ensuring effective management of, improving processes and ensuring the accuracy of revenue recognition. This client has significantly grown over the past three years and the ideal candidate for this role must be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

MUST HAVES:

• Experience working Salesforce and Sage Accounting ERP

• Understanding of revenue recognition principles, accounting standards (GAAP), and financial reporting.

• Experience managing at least one staff

• Minimum 5+ years in a progressive Account Receivable or Accounting Role.

Description

• Serve as the Account Receivable focal point for internal and external stakeholders

• Review and processing of invoices to ensure revenue recognition criteria have been met

• Review of cash receipts weekly for completeness, accuracy and classification

• Reconciliations of external software Salesforce, Stripe, etc. to general ledger monthly

• Strong understanding of debits and credits in relation to accounts receivable transactions

• Assist in analysis and write off of bad debt under the direction of the head

• Ability to implement new processes and procedures under the direction of the head and accounting manager

• Supervision of staff on complex reconciling items, ex. exchange rate differences, discounts given

• Ad Hoc projects to scale growth of the organization

• Ability to assist on internal and external audits

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
