Description

We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Renewable Energy industry, located in New York, United States. The role involves full cycle accounts payable duties, month-end close support, credit card reconciliations, and vendor onboarding. Proficiency in various technology platforms and advanced Excel skills is required. Prior work experience in the Construction industry is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

• Manage General AP Inbox

  Respond to company/vendor inquiries

  Process invoices

  Process check requests

• Prepare tax exempt forms as requested

• Identify Monthly Accruals

• Support Vendor Onboarding

• Prepare Weekly Payment Report

• Process Weekly Cash Reconciliation

• Create W-9’s as requested

• Assist in Preparing Month End Schedules

• Prepare Year End 1099’s

• Cross Functional Support for AR

  Requirements

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and best practices

• Demonstrated experience with Purchase Orders management

• Strong ability to handle Vendor Contacts professionally and efficiently

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions and formulas

• Knowledge and experience in the Renewable Energy industry

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and regulations

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
