We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Director to join a sales team of experienced and agile sellers. This team is focused exclusively on driving new business that will build a revenue pipeline with high value new advertisers and contribute to the success of our Yahoo Demand-Side Platform (DSP) sales efforts.

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for sourcing and qualifying high value new business, driving revenue and building strong client relationships. Your primary focus will be on selling the Yahoo DSP to advertisers, agencies, and brands; helping them achieve their marketing objectives through programmatic advertising.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets for the Yahoo DSP.
  • Identify and target potential clients, including advertisers, agencies, and brands, to promote the value and benefits of the Yahoo DSP.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities to ensure consistent revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to create effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations, acting as their trusted advisor. Understand client business objectives, marketing goals, and challenges to propose tailored solutions using the Yahoo DSP.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and advantages of the Yahoo DSP.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and product development, to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with the account management team to ensure seamless onboarding, campaign execution, and optimization for clients.
  • Coordinate with the finance and legal departments to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven track record of success in digital advertising sales; preferably within the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
  • In-depth knowledge of demand-side platforms (DSPs) and programmatic advertising technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape; including trends, challenges, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and exceed revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

The compensation for this position ranges from $163, 125.00 - $340, 000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
