New York University 2025 - 2026 Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure-track, full-time) in New York, New York

The Department of Finance invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment, at the assistant professor level starting in September 2025.

All areas of finance and economics will be considered.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $210,000 - $310,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Candidates should have a PhD, or candidates must have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation prior to appointment, and are expected to be productive researchers and effective teachers at undergraduate, MBA and PhD levels.
