Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring an Experienced Senior Process Engineer with a desire to work on large infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. We need our engineers to be versatile and enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. In this role, you will complete a wide variety of complex engineering assignments and apply process engineering techniques and analysis to specific project assignments in the semiconductor industry which may involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Design and operational experience in semiconductor facilities, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical plants is considered a significant plus. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations is expected.

  • Syracuse, NY

  • Portland, OR

  • Lafayette, IN

What You'll Be Doing:

Chemical Engineering support and oversight of Design, Construction, and Commissioning of Slurry Distribution systems including:

  • Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy

  • Review of equipment configuration and distribution routing of systems in NavisWorks 3D model relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with P&ID's, etc.

  • Validation of engineering calculations

  • Review and approval of equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staff

  • Review and validation of construction RFI responses

  • Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models

  • Field engineering QA during construction

  • Commissioning support

  • Entry of system information into a capacity planning software

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Mid-Level or higher Engineer

  • Large Project greenfield design/construction experience

  • Semiconductor experience preferred

  • Team player who also takes ownership and drives success of designated areas of responsibility

  • Chemical Slurry Pumping and Distribution experience

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills

  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD (or CAD file reader) and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (or related field) and 8+ years of related work experience

  • Professional Engineer registration may be required

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
