Purpose
The Senior Analyst, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption team, while ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives
What You’ll Do
Champion a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Assist the Director, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, and the Senior Managers in the ongoing maintenance of, and enhancement to, the Enterprise Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Program, including with respect to:
Collating analytics for oversight and monitoring activities to deliver insight relative to the ABAC Program
Coordinating escalations coming into central mailboxes and from other sources, to support the teams monitoring and advice and counsel efforts relative to Scotiabank’s Global Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Policy and supporting frameworks, policies, procedures and standards/guidelines, ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation from the Enterprise Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption perspective
Supporting operationalization of frameworks, policies, procedures and standards/guidelines via the development and delivery of training materials, and providing stakeholder socialization, monitoring/oversight, testing, and assessments (including NIRAs, CRCAs and RCSAs) in relation to the Enterprise Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Program
Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to support the Enterprise Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Program. Includes creating/maintaining content and resources on team sites (e.g., SharePoint) to ensure information is current, topical and available Bank-wide, as well as internal team resources (e.g., team shared drive, group mailbox and email distributions)
Monitor ongoing/emerging Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption related industry intelligence to identify and appropriately disseminate lessons learned/trending
Support with the preparation of submissions to the Audit and Conduct Review Committee of the Board and Senior Management Committees, as requested
Assist with the development of training to support Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption and related training, including annual mandatory trainings and ad hoc modules as required
Undertake additional projects and initiatives, as requested by senior members of the Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption team
Actively pursues effective and efficient fulfilment of their respective responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture, and conducting all activities in compliance with Scotiabank’s Values, our Code, governing regulations, internal policies and procedures including AML/ATF/ Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption and Global Sales Principles

What You’ll Bring
Post-Secondary education and/or professional designations
2+ years of banking/financial services experience with an emphasis on compliance, risk management, and/or advisory services
Good judgment and attention to detail, researching matters and providing advice and counsel
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to senior leadership audiences
Experience in managing several ongoing assignments and competing priorities concurrently, working independently and as directed by senior members of the team
Results-driven focus, with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
General analytical skills with ability to collect, organize and analyze data and reports; ability to read and comprehend Power Bi reports for effective decision-making support
Ability to operate in a high performing, flexible and small team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Knowledgeable of Scotiabank’s organizational structure, risk management, operational procedures, and business activities is an asset
Fluency in Spanish is an asset
