TITLE: Application Support Specialist

DUTIES: The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Application Support Specialist in New York, NY to support commodities technology applications and users. Responsible for addressing application-level issues on mission critical systems that require same day resolution. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: working with trading application of Investment Banking or Commodities Technology, including working with markets, applications and utilizing experience with Front office, Middle and Backoffice; utilizing Unix and SQL, including working with Linux operating system, automating process using shell scripts, data management and reporting using SQL; working with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure and Google; utilizing experience with ITIL processes, including Incident and Change management process. In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed skills. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $169,229.00 and $169,229.00 per year. 40 hours/wk.
