Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments. This is a fully on-site role based in our brand-new office in New Rochelle, NY. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing team.
Responsibilities:
Check requisitions, gather invoices, and submit for approval.
Review invoices for accuracy.
Input invoices into the accounts payable program.
Cut checks for assigned entities, obtain required signatures, and ensure timely mailing of paid bills.
File all paid invoices on a timely basis.
Prepare monthly credit card expense vouchers and supporting documents.
Assist in preparation for annual audits.
Support projects for the Controller as needed.
Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Essential Skills:
1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Experience with invoicing, purchase orders, and payable reconciliations.
Knowledge of three-way matching and coding.
Vendor management skills.
Familiarity with Sage 100 ERP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with ACH, credit cards, and checks.
Knowledge of MAS 200.
Work Environment: The position is fully on-site, with a work week of 35 hours. The schedule is Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. The team consists of 20 people in the A&F department, with 2-3 people in the AP team reporting to the AP Manager. The role is open due to internal promotions. Our office recently moved to a brand-new location in New Rochelle, NY. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
