Performs and/or assists in the operation, construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations, and associated equipment on the Great River Energy (GRE) system.

Total Rewards:

A typical starting range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00 hourly. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs and/or assists in the construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations and associated equipment and performs all other related duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor, foreperson or lead.

• Keeps supervisor, foreperson and/or lead informed of overall conditions and status of work activities. Work will be performed on energized and de-energized equipment.

• Complies with established GRE safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.

• Responsible for working safely and the safety of all members of the crew.

• Maintains assigned equipment, tools and materials to provide safe and efficient use.

• Operates and performs daily routine maintenance on assigned equipment, including heavy equipment.

• Develops and updates maintenance procedures.

  Qualifications: Minimum education requirements include certification or degree/diploma in electrical line work and related courses. Prefer three years of line construction and maintenance experience. Ability to maintain a current medical card and valid Class A CDL license required. Must be able to reside within 60 miles of the reporting location.
