Sodexo Seniors has a current Chef Manager opportunity at ourShowcase Account, Woodland Pond in New Paltz, NY . This upscale Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) embodies the true spirit of community where Residents enjoy the security of a worry-free lifestyle. Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region, this campus provides active Seniors a variety of programs and amenities, as well as a full continuum of on-site healthcare services.

The Chef Manager will oversee the daily kitchen operations, food production, and will cook as needed. Ability to motivate staff to achieve a high-level of customer satisfaction. Will report to the General Manager and manage a kitchen staff ofapproximately 25-30 hourly employees. Candidate needs to be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include a weekend rotation.

The successful candidate will:

• train and develop the kitchen staff;

• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented and be part of implementing new innovative dining service options;

• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;

• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and

• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• up to 2 years food service management experience; senior living experience an added plus;

• the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team;

• basic culinary knowledge;

• excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
