Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff or Senior Accountant in New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will perform a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining ledger entries, preparing financial statements, and assisting in audit processes. You will be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of customer invoices, expense reports, and payments

• Regular reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

• Providing necessary documentation and reports for both internal and external audits

• Maintaining accurate records for tax compliance and audits

• Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts, and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures

• Identifying opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of journal entries

• Timely reconciliation of customer accounts and collection of payments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management

• Skilled in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in maintaining and managing the General Ledger

• Skilled in making Journal Entries accurately and timely

• Experience in executing Month End Close procedures efficiently
