This is a job for a Investment Portfolio Specialist position with a company located in New Orleans, LA.

JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: Fixed Income Investment Portfolio Specialists provide a broad range of fixed income asset management support by assisting in functionalities such as model portfolio strategy implementation, security research, trading, performance reporting and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Works as a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Group (FISG) manufacturing team managing proprietary fixed income portfolio strategies for Wealth Management clients. Works directly with FISG portfolio managers and traders to invest client fixed income accounts according to firm strategies, policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining a critical database of model fixed income strategies, client holdings and portfolio characteristics using Microsoft Excel. Works with fixed income credit analysis team to assist in generating, updating and organizing firm credit research data. Works directly with the fixed income traders to assist in trade entry, execution and reporting. Develops a basic knowledge of and utilize investment software systems such as BondEdge, Bloomberg and Envestnet to support portfolio analysis. Provides data to various LOB's for client retention and new business development. Works directly with Trust Compliance and Portfolio Managers to monitor and correct account exceptions. Stay abreast of overall economic and financial market conditions and industry trends. Other duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management may include but proxy voting, corporate actions, vendor management liaison, soft dollar and broker dealer analysis.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field preferred. 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of and exposure to the investment industry and investment concepts. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Office.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions. Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions. Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
