Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Financial Project Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role is crucial in our team as it involves managing financial projects, processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct full-cycle accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, AP/AR, etc.

• Manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules

• Perform variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting

• Prepare budgets and conduct financial statement preparation

• Ensure internal controls are in place, including risk assessments

• Provide tax support (sales & use, property, payroll, corporate, etc.)

• Offer audit support and compliance support, including implementing changes in professional standards (ASC 842 Lease Accounting, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, etc.)

• Document and improve procedures, policies, and processes

• Oversee grant management and cost accounting activities

• Conduct financial modeling and data visualization

• Implement ERP Systems

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the account status. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Project Manager or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Data Visualization, and Business Intelligence (BI)

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Account Reconciliation, and Journal Entries

• Expertise in Financial Reporting, Consolidated Financial Statements, and Month End Close

• Strong analytical skills, with experience in Cash Management and Treasury Management

• Knowledge of Grant Accounting, Cost Accounting, and System Implementation

• Experience with business process improvement and process documentation

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley, ASC 606, ASC 740, ASC 815, ASC 842, ASC 985-605

• Proficiency in Financial Analysis and Data Analytics

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Familiarity with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A), SEC Reporting, and Profit and loss

• Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, MS Dynamics AX, NetSuite, SAP Financials, Sage Intacct, Oracle

• Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI

• Experience in Risk Assessment and Internal Audit across Multiple Industries

• Knowledge of Cash Flow Analysis, SEC filings, and Financial Modeling

• Current CPA License holder

• Experience with Cash Flow Statements and Internal Control

• Experience in consulting and KPI Reporting
