Description

Robert Half has an opening for a short-term contract Accounts Payable Clerk with our client in the non-profit industry. This position is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an integral part of our team, you will be handling the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing and maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate records of customer credits

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner

• Ensure compliance with Company policies

• Provide assistance for internal and external audits as required

• Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners

• Manage the sorting, logging, photocopying, and filing of invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify, log and mail checks, expediting special handling when necessary

• Undertake special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to perform account reconciliation effectively

• Familiarity with invoice processing and coding invoices

• Skilled in conducting check runs

• Competent in data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis

• Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a non-profit organization setting

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
