Full-time, 40 hours - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Summary:
The Nuvance Health Medical Practice Director for Women’s Health East is responsible for providing operational, finance, revenue cycle and administrative leadership for Women’s Health services in Connecticut for the Nuvance Health system. The Director for Women’s Health will establish performance objectives to ensure the highest standard of excellence in the care, safety, and experience of all Women’s Health service line patients across Nuvance Health East and Sharon, CT. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Women’s Health Services.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with OB/GYN and Women’s Health clinical and administrative leaders to optimize the efficiency of care delivery and identify growth opportunities across the region.
As the operational director for Women’s Health services East, s/he establishes operational objectives and priorities across all Connecticut-based Women’s Health services in consultation with the VP of Women’s Health, overseeing local management in the achievement of these goals.
In partnership with Women’s Health services clinical and administrative leadership, the director assists in the development of the Women’s health service line East budgets and the regular review of the business models and business plans.
Partners with the Women’s health service line practice leaders in Connecticut to create a culture that prioritizes quality, patient experience, provider and staff engagement and financial stewardship.
Leads the implementation of processes and programs aimed at enhancing the success of Women’s health services across Nuvance East.
Participates in the recruitment of administrative and clinical resources as required to fulfill the goals of the Women’s Health service line East.
Supports the quality, efficiency, and growth activities of Women’s Health Services East in alignment with system Women’s health goals.
Develops and distributes management reports including key metrics for quality, operations, finance/revenue cycle, WRVU productivity, and patient experience.
Partners with marketing team to enhance current clinical programs and launch new initiatives.
Models and Maintains Nuvance Health values including ethical decision making, just culture, and principles of equity and inclusion.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree required. Preference for healthcare or business focus.
Minimum of 3-5 years working in healthcare.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database applications required.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to travel within Nuvance Health system locations. Active driver’s license and access to a car required.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of practice management and electronic medical record software systems (Soarian/Cerner preferred).
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT & HCPCS coding required.
Ability to take abstract, complex and/or technical information and break it down for a variety of audiences in a way that is meaningful for them.
Clinical experience as a provider or nurse preferred.

Salary Range: $59.01 - $109.58 Hourly, commensurate with experience
