For the summer of 2025, Covestro's Health and Environmental Safety (HES) team is currently seeking an intern for our Industrial Park in New Martinsville, WV that will last approximately 12 weeks. The work will be done within the HES arena (safety and health areas).

Covestro strives to foster a positive, enriching, and productive work environment and provides multiple forms of training and professional development throughout the internship program. For the selected intern, the summer of 2025 should be challenging, rewarding and fun! Some responsibilities within a safety management/engineering-based internship at Covestro will include supporting our occupational safety management system in the areas of fall protection, control of energy (lockout/tagout), contractor safety, emergency eyewash and showers, industrial hygiene, incident emergency response and assisting with the evaluation and implementation of HES tools. WHO YOU ARE

Basic Qualifications Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program with a focus in one of the following majors: safety management or engineering degree Completion of Sophomore year Willingness and ability to be placed in any of the aforementioned internship opportunities Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Preferred Qualifications Completion of Sophomore year Prior internship/work experience Safety Management preferred Basic understanding/familiarity with OSHA General Industry standard

Knowledge and Skills: Possess excellent critical thinking and analytical skills Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact and establish strong working relationships with diverse individuals Detail oriented, fast learner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
