Job Details: Our Technical Services Manager would need to be flexible working onsite; our New London Plant runs primarily 5 days week; the hours are set based on the need to be available to support Plant projects with working some weekends when required. 1st Shift is primarily (Start Time) 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM (End Time), with the need to work longer hours as the projects dictate. This role does require travel. Position Summary This position provides leadership and guidance for the execution and implementation of new products, line extensions, facility product and process qualifications, and product and process design modification. This position works cross-functionally within facilities and across Tyson Foods to realize product design which meets all requisite company, customer and consumer requirements; provides support as technical liaison between brand groups, R&D, FSQA, Production and Engineering on capital projects; serves as a product line authority for assigned product categories within assigned facilities and across the network of Tyson Foods facilities and co-manufactures. Supports key national accounts as the FSQA Technical Services point of contact regarding product performance, quality specification adherence, innovation projects and process or product related issues. Roles & Responsibilities * Provides leadership in the commercialization of new or transferred products, establishing test design, forming teams as required for successful start-ups. * Identifies and executes opportunities for process improvement, value added new technology, cost reduction and overall product/process optimization. * Provide leadership and technical support to Supply Chain for the resolution of product quality issues and manufacturing issues, pulling together R&D, FSQA, Operations, Purchasing, Marketing and other departments as necessary. * Collect data, run tests and conduct experiments to develop resolution to problems. * Assure plants have updated manufacturing instructions for products and processes within assigned product categories. * Key resource in the establishment and maintenance of product specifications for raw materials, packing, new and existing products. * Manages multiple product and process development projects, some of complex nature.
