Summary: Performs and/or assists in the operation, construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations, and associated equipment on the Great River Energy (GRE) system. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs and/or assists in the construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations and associated equipment and performs all other related duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor, foreperson or lead. Keeps supervisor, foreperson and/or lead informed of overall conditions and status of work activities. Work will be performed on energized and de-energized equipment. Complies with established GRE safety rules, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for working safely and the safety of all members of the crew. Maintains assigned equipment, tools and materials to provide safe and efficient use. Operates and performs daily routine maintenance on assigned equipment, including heavy equipment. Develops and updates maintenance procedures.
