The role.

We are seeking a professional Manager to oversee the Project Management team, with a proven track record of running sophisticated product orders or larger system projects, preferably in a manufactory setting.

The role of the manager is to lead, develop, and support the Project Management Team and their projects during execution. This includes advising resources in a matrixed organization and coordinating the efforts of team members to ensure the timely delivery of projects to plan. The manager of Project Management will also be responsible for prioritizing the team’s objectives, participating in project planning during after the sales cycle, and lead all aspects of quality control through the projects that are being executed on behalf of the Project Management Team.

This role is based in New Kensington, PA and will work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Management team with their sophisticated large projects to ensure that all scope and requirements are being met and fulfilled.

  • Project Leads large, sophisticated projects and oversee entire scope and financial responsibilities of that project when applicable.

  • Organize, develop, and maintain sophisticated large schedules that correspond to customer needs and requirements.

  • Proactively lead changes within the group to ensure project scope is successful, while minimizing risk to the customer and the company.

  • Meet with customers to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements for the contracted scope of the project(s).

  • Implement Innomotics project process and management principles at all aspects of project scope and results.

  • Lead process improvements within the Project Management team.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

  • Maintain the relationship with the client and all partners.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

  • Coordinate project expectations with team members. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Conduct project lesson learns and build standard processes to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Education, Experience, and Preferred Knowledge/Skills.

  • Consistent track record of 10+ years as Project Management with experience with sophisticated product orders or systems in the industrial/manufacturing sector

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering

  • Master’s in Business Administration is desired.

  • Certified Project Management Professional is desired.

  • Technical understanding of variable frequency drives and motors is helpful

  • Previous experience with client-facing and internal presentation skills

  • Proven interpersonal skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, time management and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

  • Experience with SAP is desired

  • 10% travel is required

The pay range for this position is $97,500 - $167,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
