    What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power generation and distribution systems.

  • Help the sales team secure contracts by visiting client sites and crafting creative economical solutions.

  • Assist with the procurement of new electrical, refrigeration, and compressed air rental assets.

  • Test, install, commission, program, and troubleshoot low voltage and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, motor controllers, and PLCs.

  • Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.

  • Create and modify single-line diagrams, location plans, grounding plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

  • Carry out peer-review of engineering deliverables.

  • Inspect equipment and systems for electrical code and safety deficiencies.

  • Travel 25% of the time, be able to travel to other US states, Canada, and some Caribbean islands, and be involved with projects in a variety of settings, including refineries, chemical plants, utility substations, construction sites, mines, automotive factories, rock concerts, yacht shows, golf tournaments, and fossil fuel, nuclear, wind, and PV power stations.

    We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of relevant hands-on work experience

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • General understanding of engineering economics, estimating, budgeting, and basic financial principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to persuade through the use of logical arguments and objective data

  • Working knowledge of relevant industry-consensus codes and standards from NFPA, IEEE, and UL
