Job Details

The position is the regional lead for the quality team supporting World Courier running business across the network (including subcontractors' network), with the objective of delivering high quality services to clients. It is responsible for leading the team to success by managing performance, development, talent, and career development of local quality team members. The operational quality team works in collaboration with operations department to ensure process execution follows defined procedures, using monitoring tools as self-inspection, deviation data analysis and internal audit reports. The team will measure success in alignment with operational quality metrics.

This role will be onsite in one of the listed locations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead regional team of local QA associates and execute processes from the quality management system within the organization, maintaining a close collaboration with the Director of Quality Engineering and the Director of Quality Systems.
  • To guide implementation of good practices (Good Manufacturing, Storage, Distribution, Clinical, & Documentation Practices) in Offices and Depots of the region.
  • Collaborate with the Quality systems team on the creation, revision and update of Local Internal Guidelines.
  • Oversee local technical topics, including but not limited to the setup, maintenance, calibration, temperature mapping and qualification of technical equipment.
  • Assist in regional / local interpretation of regulations
  • Oversee and support the assessment of deviations on local level. Participation in investigations and local CA/PA design.
  • Provide support for inspections, ISO and client local audits conduct and audit response.
  • Provide support during Internal Audits performed by other QA representatives.
  • Supports the follow up and resolution / escalation of pending local or regional activities with the operational team such as local audit observations, corrective and preventive action.
  • Oversee self-inspection escalation process, check reports whenever quality issues are escalated to the quality group
  • Bring new requirements from authorities and/ or clients to Quality Engineering for process change. Support the process change as required.
  • To participate in local and global change control process and risk assessment, as applicable.
  • Assess office and depot metrics and support implementation of local actions. Escalate global trending & actions to Quality Engineering for process improvement.
  • Ensure that local MRMs are executed in accordance to applicable guideline.
  • Organize and facilitate regional MRM process.
  • Oversee process of local subcontractor and supplier qualification. To revise the Supplier Evaluation Program locally conducted in each office or depot.
  • To assess QA KPIs for the region and be involved in defining actions based on the outcome.
  • To collaborate on Onboarding and training program whenever requested.
  • Participate in QA initiatives with other QA associates and provide dedicated QA support for service lines and major accounts.
  • Participate in the budget planning for the region.
  • Providing technical expertise.
  • The holder of the position will perform, in addition to the above-described tasks, tasks assigned by his/her manager, which are to be seen by their nature as part of his/her work area, or which arise out of necessity.

SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES WITH OTHER QA ROLES

  • Participate in client related tasks as client onboarding meetings, Quality to Quality meetings, and client review meetings, sharing quality metrics and explaining quality processes.
  • Participate in the global / regional Management Business Review (MBRs) meetings and other business meetings as needed.
  • Assist in global/ regional/ local interpretation of regulations

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct resource and talent planning by overseeing and evaluating employee contribution, performance, and development for the operational quality team.
  • Monitor work processes and organize work allocation as required.
  • Ensure that regular one-to-one meetings are implemented within the team to provide space to discuss activities, priorities, progress and problems.
  • To organize and / or initiate regular team meetings to share knowledge and to solve mutual problems as applicable.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced student qualification (intermediate graduation, 1st state exam, or equivalent) in one of the following scientific disciplines: pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine, chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and technology, biology and related fields; Or Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in any discipline if evidence of adequate knowledge in the working field.
  • Advanced understanding of Quality Management processes (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Advanced GxP expertise (e.g. local GMP, GDP and regulatory aspects)
  • Experience working in a GXP environment for at least 5 years, preferably 10 years.
  • Post Graduate Course in Quality Assurance or equivalent or working experience in this field
  • Preferable certification as Internal Auditor (GxP, ISO 9001 or similar)
  • Line Manager experience will be a plus.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills in English. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversations, interactions and business writing with others.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with associates at all levels within the company and also with external parties (e.g. clients, vendors etc.).
  • Having a high sense of integrity, transparency and accountability in all work tasks and interactions with others.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Aptitude for math and good analytical skills
  • Advanced use of data analysis and presentations software.
  • Be able to take initiatives and responsibilities.
  • People Management skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to travel overseas if required.
  • Fluency in English

Salary Range

$98,200 - 151,360

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
