JOB SUMMARY:

The Block Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of our manufacturing equipment. The Block Machine Operator ensures safe and efficient production of our product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set up, operate, adjust and maintain block machine; batching, handling and packaging equipment from start to finish of the daily production cycle.

  • Control and adjust machine settings, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.

  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs.

  • Achieve weekly and monthly production goals while adhering to strong quality standards.

  • Inspection of product, both finished and pre-finished, and take required corrective actions as necessary.

  • Communicate with supervisor and fellow team members on safety, quality, production, equipment and maintenance.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.

  • Mechanically inclined.

  • Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills a plus.

  • Ability to operate a forklift a plus.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime during peak season.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

  • The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

  • Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
