Environmental Services Tech -

Job Role: To complete daily assigned tasks performing in the roles of Custodial, Laundry and Snow Removal services

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Removing all trash from designated areas throughout the facility

  • Replacing can liners

  • Cleaning floors and carpeting with scrubbing and extracting equipment

  • Sweeping, moping, vacuuming floors

  • Washing windows, doors, walls and other surfaces as needed

  • Sanitizing rooms, offices and common areas throughout the facility

  • Respond to spills

  • Changing laundry chemicals for commercial washing machines

  • Sorting and loading laundry

  • Drying laundry in commercial clothing dryers

  • Folding laundry by hand and with an automatic folding machine

  • Assist with snow removal at various times throughout the day

  • Other duties as required by department supervisor.

    PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Appropriate professional attire as required by CWP dress code.

    Working Conditions
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.

  • Subject to frequent interruptions.

  • Involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personal.

  • Communicates with the other departments.

  • May be asked to work beyond normal working hours.

    Attends and participates in in-service educational programs, maintains required hours

    Physical and Sensory Requirements:

    (With or without the aid of mechanical devices)
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

  • Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.

  • Must be in good health, be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.

  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, angry people within the facility.

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to climb a six foot step ladder.

  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
