We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Sales Specialist in New Gloucester, Maine. The role involves managing the financial aspects of retail operations and executing revenue-generating initiatives. The Sales Specialist will also manage the point-of-sale system, oversee ecommerce site maintenance, and handle the sourcing of eco-conscious merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial aspects of all retail operations to ensure expected returns are met or exceeded

• Execute and implement revenue-generating initiatives

• Develop, recommend, and maintain the annual budget

• Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system across all locations and train staff on its use

• Ensure accountability regarding the POS system and cash management

• Manage the ecommerce site and maintain all digital communication

• Oversee the processing of daily incoming and outbound merchandise requests and shipments

• Solicit information on retail needs from all stakeholders including employees and students

• Gather sales data to forecast future replenishment needs

• Prepare daily deposits and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly revenue records

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for managing and organizing data

• Experience with Billing Functions is required to ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing

• Familiarity with Check Processing to handle transactions smoothly and efficiently

• Strong Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, address their concerns, and foster a positive relationship

• Data Entry skills are necessary for inputting and managing information in company databases
