What you will do The hardware engineer intern supports the design and test of electronic Printed Circuit Board (PCBs) assemblies and the development of intelligent embedded control system of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) using MCU, FPGA and tools like MATLAB/SIMULINK.

How you will do it: Support system modeling, system simulation and verification using MATLAB/Simulink with Auto-code generation. Emerge control code into existing firmware. Conduct performance testing of power electronics control using Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) system. Provide support to the lead electrical engineers in tasks such as VSD dyno testing and chiller testing. Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures. Support the development and documentation of standard procedures, design standardization, and engineering change notices. Use predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to perform job duties. Other duties as assigned.

What we look for RequiredQualifications: Full-time student enrolled in a four-year college or university; currently enrolled in at least junior year within an engineering curriculum. Graduate students with VSD control background is preferred. Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average. Broad technical background in areas of electrical engineering, VSD control system development. Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office applications. Ability to work and thrive in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision. Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time and without restriction during your internship at company location.
