Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Our client in New Castle has several immediate openings in their welding department. These are entry-level MIG welding positions as 95% of the welding in the facility is done by robots. All the welds to be done are repair welds. The product is all carbon steel but thin, and all equipment is wire fed. This is an entry-level production-based role with upward growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding to repair carbon steel products.

  • Utilize wire-fed welding equipment.

  • Ensure welding quality meets the required standards.

  • Operate within a high-pressure production environment.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members and departments.

  • Blueprint Reading

  • Fabrication experience

Work Environment

This is a high-pressure, just-in-time facility where products are on a vehicle at Honda within six hours of production. The welding department operates on two shifts: A Shift (5:30am-5:30pm) and B Shift (5:30pm-5:30am). Employees must be flexible to work on weekends and up to 60 hours per week. The dress code includes a provided shirt, t-shirt, jeans (no rips/tears), and closed-toe shoes. The facility employs 597 people and currently operates two shifts, with most machines being robotic welders across over 15 lines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50
