Constellation Transportation Intern in New Castle, Delaware

We are currently seeking highly motivated aviation transportation or related discipline students for Summer Internships for 2025 to work for our Transportation Team located in New Castle DE. These paid internships will last approximately 10 weeks from June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025. As a Summer Intern within our Transportation Team, you will have the chance to work with our department leadership, scheduling, maintenance and pilot teams to ensure the safe and efficient travel for its passengers. There will be opportunities to travel to various locations and work on projects that align with your academic background and career aspirations.

Under the guidance of an assigned supervisor, you will contribute to various departmental functions, engaging in tasks such as:

  • Scheduling of requested transportation requirements of the company; deciding on mode of transportation, calculating departure times and coordinating destination services.

  • Planning trips; using electronic apps - plan the route, compute weight and balance, calculate fuel requirements, determine forecasted weather and ensure destination meets company minimum requirements.

  • Conducting maintenance duties; inspecting aircraft configuration, servicing components as required and ensuring administrative paperwork properly annotates the aircraft safe for flight.

  • Travel on trips; ensuring pilot pre-flight inspections complete, ensuring air traffic clearance is properly entered in navigational equipment, ensuring take of and landing data computed correctly and reviewing abnormal and emergency procedures.

  • Assisting passengers; loading passenger luggage, assisting passenger onboarding, ensuring passengers are briefed on safety features and assisting passengers during flight.

  • Participating in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to contribute insights and ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's program in an Aviation related degree program

  • Must provide proof of enrollment in qualifying Bachelor’s or Master’s program for the duration of the 10 week summer internship program. An individual is not qualified to be an intern if their enrollment lapses during the internship period.

  • [For roles in Corp/Comm that consider additional schooling ONLY] Must provide proof of post-internship fall semester enrollment in post-secondary program if not actively enrolled in Bachelor’s program at time of summer internship.

  • Minimum GPA: 2.8 Cumulative / 3.0 .

  • Eagerness to actively contribute within a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with interpersonal abilities.
