Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Counselor for the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education, the Student Services Counselor provides academic advising and student services support to the students in undergraduate programs at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.The Bloustein School's undergraduate programs include more than 750 majors, minors, and direct-admit degree students. Working with undergraduate student services colleagues, the Student Counselor develops, implements, and evaluates program procedures and services to meet the needs of students in the following areas: academic, student life and activities, career development, and/or special populations. The counselor is one of four staff responsible for advisement and guidance of students through the life-cycle of their undergraduate program.Among the key duties of the position are the following:
