Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Manager for the Core Services Animal Care Department. This position is expected to become an expert user in the core management software system and serve as the primary Rutgers University point of contact for all software-related issues, including account discrepancies originating from software, transactions not posting to Oracle, and fund file errors.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Ensures proper implementation, communications, training and management of core management software across all recognized Rutgers Research Cores.
  • Serves as the liaison between the vendor's support and implementation teams and Rutgers core directors to ensure efficient and organized execution of software training, set-up and problem-solving.
  • Prepares training material for all software users and communicates important information about software updates.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • A minimum of five years relevant experience in a financial/operations function.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge and experience with administrative and financial information systems and experience providing training and support for application users and other key stakeholders.
  • Must have experience implementing and managing finance and administrative information systems.
  • Experience communicating complex financial and business system information clearly to a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Must communicate with the highest level of professionalism to ensure good communication and support to a wide variety of key stakeholders.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts and best business practices and have experience developing training materials.
  • Must have strong project management and organizational skills, as well as good communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management software skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in business or related field
  • Experience using the Agilent iLab System or similar software.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud.
  • Understanding of Federal Uniform Guidance and how it relates to service centers and research cores.
  • Understanding of the operations of service centers and research cores.
