The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick seeks an innovative leader to join our faculty as a full-time Program Director of the Psy.D. program in the Department of School Psychology. This non-tenure track, Assistant or Associate Professor position provides an exciting opportunity to sustain and shape the direction of one of the nation's leading programs in school psychology. The Program Director will play a leading role in cultivating the strategic direction of the Psy.D. program, including engaging in critical program operations (e.g., admissions, student progress monitoring, curriculum development, ensuring alignment of the program with accreditation standards). The Program Director will also oversee student internship placements and provide guidance to the practicum coordinator, ensuring students have access to robust and meaningful practicum and externship experiences. Beyond administrative leadership, this position offers the opportunity to teach courses that align with the candidate's expertise and departmental needs, contributing directly to the education and professional growth of the next generation of school psychologists. Minimum qualifications include a doctorate degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program at the time of application. It is highly desirable that the applicant is licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New Jersey. Competitive candidates will exhibit strong organizational and communication skills and have experience in or display knowledge regarding applied psychological practices. The successful candidate will also display leadership potential to contribute to the overall mission and goals of GSAPP and the professional community.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

A doctorate degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology,
Counseling Psychology, or enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program at the time of application.
