Posting Summary
Rutgers, the State University of Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator II to provide support to the Center for Women and Work and the Program for Disability Research within the School of Management and Labor Relations.Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Provides support to the management by assisting with the coordination and administration of various programs.
  • Provides administrative support, purchasing, expense administration, records management, and events planning and support.
  • Supports the scheduling and planning of virtual and in person meetings and events with internal and external partners.
  • Identifies and schedules meeting sites, communicates with vendors, and implements registration processes.
  • Provides administrative and coordination support for research projects, social media accounts, and websites as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and/or report writing.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must be detail oriented and flexible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in grant or soft-funded environment.
  • Prior experience with event and meeting planning preferred.
  • Knowledge of Rutgers University systems such as HCM, SciQuest, and RAPSS
  • Degree in a social science field and understanding of the mission, role, and goals of the centers/programs.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to off-campus meetings, etc.
Equipment Utilized
  • Online meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex.
  • Cloud-based file storage applications like Box and Google Drive.
  • Qualtrics.
  • Canvas.
