Posting Summary | There is a postdoc position available in Dr. Phoebe Stapleton's lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI)/Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. This position is funded by a grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health (NIEHS). Dr. Stapleton's research focuses on the utero-placental effects of particulate matter exposure during p regnancy. The candidate will focus on 1-2 of the following projects: (1) assess uterine nitric oxide-driven vasodilation, (2) evaluate uterine vascular arachidonic acid metabolism, and (3) appraise the therapeutic benefit of nutritional supplementation to improve utero-placental blood flow after maternal exposure to particulate matter. Therefore, candidate experience in vascular physiology assessment techniques is required. Rutgers University is one of the largest research universities and has outstanding resources and facilities to support state-of-the-art research. Both Dr. Stapleton's home department and EOHSI are nationally and internationally recognized for their basic and clinical research on pharmacology, toxicology, and exposure science. Dr. Stapleton's research team has access to outstanding facilities of Genomics, Genetics, Proteomics, Confocal and high-content imaging, Histopathology, Analytical Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, etc. Rutgers University provides an excellent career development and training environment for postdoc researchers. |
