Position Summary:

This role involves leading a global team focused on transforming the commercial supply chain through data and digital initiatives. Key responsibilities include demand planning, long-range planning, bio and pharma supply planning, inventory optimization, and the integration of systems across internal and external manufacturing networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Global Process Owners (GPOs) to drive our digital-first strategy within Global Supply Chain (GSC) Supply Planning. Oversee digital and process programs across Network Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Launch Excellence, Rapid Response Technology, and Life Cycle Management Strategies.

  • Collaborate with GSC Supply Planning and IT to implement cutting-edge digital solutions, processes, and technologies. Represent PDE on Pharma and Bio Supply Planning Core Leadership Teams.

  • Ensure the effective deployment and operation of advanced processes, systems, and tools, including ERP technology, cloud computing, cognitive computing, advanced analytics, and machine learning.

  • Guarantee the sustained execution and compliance of digital and data initiatives, ensuring on-time and on-budget project completion. Deliver and sustain value drivers across all areas of GSC Planning.

  • Lead and manage a global team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment across different regions and time zones. Foster a cohesive team environment that leverages diverse skills and perspectives.

  • Champion innovation by exploring and leveraging best-in-class data and technology capabilities to enhance operational excellence and efficiency.

  • Maintain digital and data technologies by building and managing high-performing execution teams and leading super-user groups.

  • Develop and implement standards to enhance efficiencies for end-users of supply chain data and digital technologies, and share best practices.

  • Seek opportunities to automate and simplify repetitive tasks, promoting operational excellence, process standardization, and harmonization.

  • Design and launch Supply Planning Capability Center to centralize and optimize planning activities, drive efficiency, and foster collaboration across the global supply chain network.

  • Collaborate with global GPS organization across operations and SBE to ensure alignment

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA in life science, technology, engineering, business, data science, or information systems.

  • Over 15 years of experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, ERP, digital/data technologies, and quality within the biopharma industry.

  • Preferred: Operational excellence experience (Master Black Belt/Black Belt or equivalent).

  • Proven track record of developing and leading global teams.

  • Strong ability to navigate complex organizations, aligning and integrating cross-functional resources into cohesive teams in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Extensive supply chain expertise with experience in implementing enterprise technology or data systems, including change management.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deploy innovative ideas that optimize processes and create value.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Solid business acumen to develop compelling business cases.
