Actalent Project Engineer in New Berlin, Wisconsin

We are looking for a Project Engineer who wants to join a company that has a continuous commitment to provide equipment and service that people can trust, accompanied by innovative technologies designed to improve performance, reliability, and safety in every part of business operations that involve heavy lifting. You will be responsible for all mechanical and structural design activities needed to support the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes for Region Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret order documentation including detailed customer specification to determine the scope of work and project plan

  • Project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up

  • Write detailed work instructions to support field installation

  • Create detailed sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope

  • Perform engineering tasks using established procedures

  • Create equipment layouts, undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs and generate final mechanical and structural designs

  • Search company archives to find records of legacy equipment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment, OEM

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD

  • Familiar with CMAA and ASME B30

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with welding and machining
