As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for all mechanical and structural design activities necessary to support the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes. In addition, you will: * Be responsible for the Product Lines - Legacy EOT and Portal Cranes * Interpret order documentation including detailed customer specifications to determine scope of work and project plan * Search company archives to find records of legacy equipment; must be proficient in reading legacy equipment mechanical and structural drawings * Perform engineering tasks using established procedures * Create equipment layouts, undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs and generate final mechanical and structural designs * Create detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope * Write detailed work instructions to support field installation * Be responsible for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: * Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a related field * Minimum of 5 years of experience with overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment * A PE license or the ability to obtain licensure is a plus * Excellent understanding of machine design and structural engineering practice * Familiarity with industry specifications including CMAA and ASME B30 * Knowledge of welding and machining * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficient with SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office * Ability to effectively communicate between frontline sales, customers, application engineers and project management * Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet off the ground * Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 5% to meet with customers, commission equipment, and inspect product at various manufacturing locations Salary: \$85,000- \$110,000 per year *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
