Good Shepherd Communities Transport Aide in New Berlin, New York

Job Description

Position Details: per diem

Basic Function

The transport aide safely assists residents to outside medical appointments utilizing private facility transportation and/or travels with professional medical transport company. He or she is the liaison between the community and the organization, thus demands strong interpersonal skills and helps maintain public relations designed to serve the best interests of the facility and community.

Essential Job Functions

  • Transport resident and medical record information to and from medical appointments

  • Communicate well by reporting incidents and areas of concern of patients and unit environment to RN

  • Monitor cleanliness of vehicles, reporting any maintenance variances to supervisor

  • Maintain contact with the facility during transport with regard to resident needs

  • Perform other duties as required
