This Position is for a Senior Administrative Assistant in Monticello.

 

Job Summuary: Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Sr. Administrative Assistant for our Leaf River Cellulose facility in New Augusta, MS! This role involves directly reporting to the General Manager of the Old Augusta Railroad. You will be responsible for managing the operational and accounting functions for Old Augusta Railroad, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Additionally, you will have the duty to support Leaf River Cellulose's Supply Chain by delivering accurate and timely analysis to aid in optimizing the Supply Chain functions. Duties and Responsibilities:Utilize organizational and prioritization skills to oversee general accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month end closing, demurrage charges and back charging cost centers and monitor waybill settlements to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure adherence to government rules and regulations through proper compliance documentation. Conduct audits of rail invoices to ensure accuracy of railroad billing.

Maintain personnel documentation and files monthly and annually in accordance with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulation. Maintain personnel documentation for exams including Conductor Certification and Engineer Certification.

Establish and maintain inventory, routes, rates, and fuel surcharges through the use of the Wabtec Railconnect and Yard Management systems. Coordinate train movements with Class 1 Railroad as required. Coordinate maintenance and maintain records for railcar repair. Communicate both verbally and in writing, articulating ideas across various departments and teams. Work independently and collaboratively in a team setting across the organization and with outside agencies.

Respond promptly to customer needs and seek customer feedback to improve customer service. Grow professionally through training and development opportunities. Showcase strategic thinking by adeptly solving problems, taking into account the broader business implications of decisions, and employing the 'stop, think, and ask' approach to ensure thoughtful and informed action.

 

Education and Qualifications: Experience in a business administration, finance, supply chain, procurement, or administrative role. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software to include, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. Experience/Knowledge of Railroad operations including Interline Settlement System, Railroad & Car Hire Accounting. Experience/Knowledge of financial concepts, discounted cash flow models, and statistical analysis
