Summary:

 Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Facility Maintenance Leader for our Leaf River Cellulose facility in New Augusta, MS! In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facility operations, including building infrastructure, grounds, and equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance tasks, while coordinating with various departments. You will implement preventive maintenance programs, ensure compliance with safety standards, and develop long-term infrastructure improvement plans. This position reports directly to the Mill Services Leader.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all nested maintenance crews, including electrical, mechanical, operations labor support, rolling equipment, and yards and grounds crews. Lead direct reports in coordinating nested crew activities and managing infrastructure maintenance projects involving both nested and outside contractors. Plan, schedule, execute, and close out work orders in Asset Suite, ensuring timely communication with customers about maintenance work performed. Develop and implement 5-year infrastructure plans, covering lighting, roads, painting, insulation, heat tracing, structures, buildings, and HVAC systems. Create comprehensive work packages with scope of work, required equipment, materials, and safety documents to ensure efficient project completion. Work with purchasing to obtain bids, conduct value analysis, and develop cost estimates for equipment, labor, and materials, initiating necessary purchase requisitions and contracts. Coordinate contractor and support service activities during project execution, assisting in checkout, startup, and conducting post-completion audits. Implement and supervise preventive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and business practices while promoting safety awareness through Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Provide facility maintenance planning and project engineering in a fully integrated cellulose pulp mill. Provide outage support and be willing to work weekends on a call-out schedule, collaborating with various departments to align maintenance efforts with overall facility goals and objectives.

: Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management or related field. Pulp & Paper Experience. Experience with Passport (Asset Suite) or Microsoft Project.
