Nature and Scope Responsible for scheduling all repairs and PM activities within and supporting the manufacturing and lab facilities. Position has responsibility for indirectly supervising/directing internal resources. This individual must possess the willingness and ability to grasp new concepts/systems quickly and provide Subject Matter Expertise on those systems once knowledge is acquired. This position requires strong organizational skills, competency in vendor negotiation, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization. Support Preventative Maintenance/Calibration/and Repair Workflow Serve as site owner and subject matter expert of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS.) Ensure that maintenance and calibration procedures are entered into CMMS. Reconcile maintenance schedules with production to ensure maximum efficiency of planned and unplanned shutdowns. Liaise with Production to identify opportunities to complete backlog work orders. Directly coordinate shutdown activities and scheduling of PM/repair work. Ensure that equipment files are maintained. Support Maintenance Mechanics/Calibration Technicians Provide technical support to mechanics using CMMS. Under direction of maintenance management, assign work orders to mechanics for completion. Follow up with mechanics to ensure that shutdown opportunities are taken. Coordinate repair and PM activity loading to correspond to available personnel. Facilitate completion of work order documentation. Report metrics on PM and repair programs. Support Facilities Projects Work with engineering and maintenance staff to identify shutdown requirements and available production schedule windows. Coordinate Handover of Equipment from Engineering Work with engineering and maintenance team to ensure that PM and calibration programs are established. Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management. Education Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Advanced mechanical/electrical training and/or a Technical associate degree or bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel. Advanced understanding of maintenance strategies and techniques. Experience with general facility systems and equipment such as Chillers, Boilers, Air Handlers, Compressors, etc. Experience with coordinating shutdown/turnarounds. Knowledge of OSHA requirements. Understanding of cGMP, GDP, and FDA requirements as they apply to maintenance. Ability to clearly and concisely express thoughts in written procedures, protocols, and reports. Ability to write maintenance procedures that clearly define required tasks. Ability to proofread other's work for accuracy. Ability to generate presentations/reports to explain and/or analyze areas of responsibility. Knowledge of statistical methods used to develop maintenance metrics. Thorough knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems. Comfortable working in production environment with multiple priorities across multiple locations. Works effectively as a team member or as a team leader. Able to juggle multiple tasks while coordinating multiple individual schedules.
