Job Title: Jr Level Project Manager

Location: Columbus OH

Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office / 1 day visiting job sites)

Contract Details: 12mo contract to hire

Pay Rate : $39hr

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximum customer satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of directing project teams, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and fostering continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Manage and direct base, intermediate, and complex projects from initiation to closure. Ensure efficient, economical, and risk-balanced approaches to achieve short- and long-term objectives.

Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including internal and external customers, suppliers, contractors, and industry peers. Provide clear, transparent communication to facilitate sound business decisions.

  • Promote and enable continuous improvement within the project team, enhancing quality and value delivery.

  • Develop, review, and coordinate project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources. Ensure project activities are efficiently and timely performed.

  • Support and enforce safety processes to ensure a safe working environment focused on Zero Harm.

  • Secure and manage resources necessary for project execution, including overseeing vendor contracts and performance.

  • Lead planning meetings, provide project updates, and communicate status to stakeholders through written and oral reports.

  • Conduct project closeout activities, analyzing project success in achieving objectives and benefits.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate project activities.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and apply them effectively.

  • Communicate project details and lead meetings with stakeholders.

  • Foster teamwork and seek customer satisfaction through strong relationships.

  • Guide and provide feedback to improve project design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs.

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related field.

  • Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Specific project management experience required, not just coordinating activities.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.

  • Proficiency in project finance, including budgeting and forecasting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid state driver's license.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.

  • Ability to develop strategic thinking, risk assessment, and project prioritization skills.

  • Willingness to travel (typically 25% or less) and work in various environments, including office, power plants, and construction sites.

Work Conditions:

  • Hybrid schedule: Monday - Wednesday in office, Thursday and Friday remote. Schedule subject to change.

  • Occasional travel and site visits may require steel-toe/safety boots.
