APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $87,570.72 to $131,711.04 PAY GRADE: 42

The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position

Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.

Clinical Program Manager II's work in a single program or cluster of programs, which are relatively large and complex.

The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Program Manager (CPM) 2. This position will be located in one of 8 rural Nevada offices: Carson City, Elko, Ely, Fallon, Fernley, Pahrump, Winnemucca or Yerington. The CPM 2 provides management and supervision to Mental Health Counselor's in the Clinical Program/Intensive Family Services unit, including clinical supervision. The CPM 2 demonstrates an advanced understanding of the child welfare system and provision of mental health services within the context of child welfare. The CPM 2 manages several budget categories and reviews, tracks, analyzes activities to determine program development and implementation of federal, state and fiscal programs and requirements. The Clinical Program provides in-home, family-centered, intensive services including counseling, skill-building, supportive services, advocacy, mental health assessments for children and their parents/caregivers. The IFS program does not replicate existing services and is not considered a mental health program, but rather a clinical child welfare program designed to intervene quickly to provide supportive services within child welfare. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified, and four years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting two of which included the development, management and/or oversight of program budgets, and one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified and three years of experience as described above, two of which included the development, management and/or oversight of program budgets and one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified; OR two years of experience as a Clinical Program Manager I in Nevada State service.

Additional Position Criteria

This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
