JOB REQUIREMENTS: 2nd Press Operator - R7552 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures * Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines * Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems * Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements * Assist with the make-ready and operation of the offset printing press * Set up the press feeder and keep it running properly * Install the proper inks in the correct press units and maintains their levels during the press run * Maintain the fountain solution levels * Stage stock in preparation to run jobs * Must be qualified to operate Toppy skid turner * Set up the coating unit with the proper coating * Adjust press throughout the run to maintain position and registration * Clean and gum the plates after the press run * Assist with the removal, replacement, and maintenance of rollers * Perform other duties as assigned by the Pressman * Act as a backup Press Operator in all functions of the Press Operator position as needed * Assist with decisions regarding the quality of finished product * Complete required quality inspections and paperwork * Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance * Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding work area * Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements * Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives * Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education * High school diploma or equivalent Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner * Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business * Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed * Ability to effectively work in teams * Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people * Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://tinyurl.com/2hrnu7t6 Other: Applicants ONLY to apply via URL link provided!
