Job Title: Nights 2-2-3 Operator

Job Description

Operators are responsible for ensuring efficient and safe machine operation, producing high quality products, and finish product packaging. Duties include inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, completing paperwork and data entry, assisting in packaging area, and cross-training on other machine operation duties. The role involves regular communication with other operators, quality technicians, and the area supervisor to ensure smooth process operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate state-of-the-art equipment that processes and packages beverages in both cans and bottles.

• Collaborate with others to produce quality products that meet customer needs.

• Troubleshoot equipment and work with others to eliminate inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.

• Change over and adjust equipment between production runs.

• Accurately create and consume inventory in an inventory management system.

• Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move pallets of raw material.

• Sanitize the plant and equipment.

• Assist with performing quality checks on the products.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Attend production meetings.

• Complete necessary paperwork.

• Troubleshoot and communicate issues with the process or equipment.

• Use computer skills to work in the ERP system and other necessary programs.

• Assist in other parts of the facility as needed.

• Follow food safety and regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and report food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of machine operating experience in a production environment.

• Ability to frequently lift up to 60 lbs.

• Experience with machine operation, tool change, machine setup, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in general labor, mixing, production, food handling, batching, calipers, assembly, and inspection.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

• Forklift operation experience.

• Basic computer skills and programming knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior food production experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The facility, built in 2018, is state-of-the-art with virtually brand new machines, forklifts, and conveyors. It is well-lit, meticulously clean, and operates on a 2-2-3 schedule from 6 pm to 6 am. Employees receive a $3 night shift premium and a $3 attendance incentive per pay period.
